Hamilton Heights Townhouse

Modern kitchen with blue cabinets, stainless steel oven, marble countertops, open shelves with dishware, and a coffee machine.

Nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Sugar Hill, this charming four-story townhouse with a cellar has been the beloved home of its owners for over a decade. Juggling demanding careers and raising two children, they hadn't undertaken any renovations—save for a sleek kitchen update when they first moved in.

Now, they’re ready to breathe new life into their space. One of the primary design challenges for this extensive renovation was finding a way to introduce ample millwork for storage while preserving an inviting and open living area. To achieve this, a delightful entry area was created in the front courtyard, featuring a stylish bench and a practical coat closet, serving as a thoughtful transition to the main dining area.

The kitchen has been reimagined with elegant, slim shaker-style cabinets, complemented by upgrades to the lighting and HVAC systems that enhance both aesthetics and comfort.

Inspired by their travels in Morocco, the clients were particularly eager to incorporate stunning imported Moroccan tiles into the design. The selection process was a labor of love, meticulously curating unique tiles that harmonized perfectly with their vision. Thanks to a close collaboration with the talented team at Mosaic House in Manhattan, the final finishes now blend seamlessly with the townhouse’s contemporary charm, bringing a fresh and vibrant energy to their home.
