Eric led the architectural renovation of our mid-century home in Westchester. One of the most impressive aspects of working with him was how dedicated he was to understanding the original intents of the house. We have a very bespoke property and Eric was able to help us understand the /why/ and the intent of the design of our house—the ways the windows faced to let in streaming light, the reasons for some rooms being darker, more filled with light, etc., and how it all worked together.
He was able to help push for solutions to update the home without losing its original sense of self, and managed us through the process of selecting, hiring, and working with a GC in a time when the market was hypercompetitive.
We're hoping to be able to work with Eric again in any future renovations/builds that we do!

What sets Eric apart and what really exceeded our expectations is that he was an advocate for us. Early on, we thought an architect would just provide a design. We sure underestimated the role. We realize now having a hands-on architect with contracting experience gave us a huge advantage on our build. For example, he went through the budget with a fine-toothed comb because it bothered him so deeply (even when it didn’t impact him financially) to see his clients overcharged. And if he did find room for savings, he sought out alternatives for us. Throughout the project, no problem was ever presented to us without thoughtful solutions – a habit I appreciate so much.
I couldn’t imagine building another home without him by my side. I highly recommend Eric if you are looking for an exceptional architect and person.
